Biopsy

If a lesion is detected in you mouth, a biopsy may be required.  This procedure is fast and often can be performed on the same day as a consultation.  The healing time from a biopsy is minimal, about 1 to 2 days.  The specimens are sent to a lab in order to be diagnosed.  It can take anywhere from one to two weeks to get results from a biopsy.
